This message/symbol

appears…

and means:

 You inserted a partly used test strip

drum.

 You opened the drum compartment.

 You took longer than two minutes

to replace the batteries (the year,

date and time settings are lost) and

a partly used drum remained in the

meter.

 You adopted the bar code from the

preceding drum, as the bar code on

the drum that is inserted is damaged

(see error message E-2 on p. 130).

You performed the requested quality

control check (see explanation for the

preceding display).

This message/symbol

appears…

and means:

The 90-day use-by period for the test

strip drum has expired. The test strips

cannot be used.

You must not use these test

strips, as they may produce in-

correct results. Incorrect results

can cause the wrong therapeutic

decision to be taken and so pro-

duce adverse health effects.

 Insert a new test strip drum.

 The 90-day use-by period for the

test strip drum has expired and you

have performed a quality control

check (see explanation for the pre-

ceding display).

 in the case of saved results: The test

strips you used for this test were

unusable (in the meter for more than

90 days).


